“The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. Maybe they always have been and will be. Maybe we’ve lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we’ve found each other. And maybe each time, we’ve been forced apart for the same reasons. That means that this goodbye is both a goodbye for the past ten thousand years and a prelude to what will come.”

― Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

GoodBye Batch-148

It is generally said that there are ups and downs in life. In the same way, meeting and parting are always considered a part of life. There are events in a person’s life that he can never forget. In the same way, the day of October 17, 2020, in my life is so important that I will never forget it. The way of life that day seemed a bit strange. Some people came close to my heart very quickly. I was feeling very strange while leaving them. On that day, a poem of Urdu poetry kept revolving in my mind.

The heart was depressed and tears were flowing from the eyes. I can’t close the sea of those conditions here in a jar. Fellows were expressing their views and we were thanking each other for each other’s efforts.

I am Gulnaz Nawaz and I feel privileged to be a part of the Amal Family. I never realized how fast this 3-month program has been passed. Still, I have a feeling that it was yesterday when I first met my fellows, Ma’am Zeesat and Ma’am Iqra. All those positively charged and smiling faces around me. We have not only made friends but we have built up relations like brothers, sisters, and best buddies.

Last Session, 17th October 2020

The session was totally full of happiness and fun. This session was very different from the other session because this was our last session and we were very sad and emotional on this occasion. No one wants to end the meeting because we were watching those faces last time and we are not sure to see these faces again.

LAST DAY SESSION💓

SCAVENGER HUNT ACTIVITY

The whole session was enjoyable but the activity SCAVENGER HUNT was a very creative and fun activity. We all enjoyed it a lot and that was our last competition among the two teams. It was a quick game, the whole batch was divided into two groups. We’d assigned a task by solving the puzzle. So, the session was too good and unforgettable for me. Moreover, we were Winners.

scavengers Activity Winners

A creative activity to practice things by solving mind-blowing things in a limited time frame. It helps us to do anything within a specific time frame.

How did the session help you think about what you want to do going forward?

Although in all our previous sessions, a fun learning methodology was used. We were talking a lot about professionalism and other personal development skills but this session had the biggest part of making a mindset to take flight. I had learned that day about the child that should be kept alive in ourselves regardless of our age and profession. That child keeps you happy and energetically motivated without tiring. This also had the part building an aim to apply all the learnings into real practice and to be a life long learner. I built this aim too ill be definitely trying to balance my work with my life and will keep my spirit high.

What was it like to just talk and connect?

I think sometimes we just need to forget about the situation that made us feel the way we don’t want to. It’s a better trick to compose our emotions. To have some informal chit chat and to share our thoughts other than the work-based tasks somehow uplift our mood and helps us to regenerate our lost energy. It helps to have a break and come up with a refreshed mind. It also connects and builds a strong relationship among the batch. Well for me things like this should have some advantages, one thing that creates with these activities is that we never forget that day and it is necessary to uplift emotions sometimes, even without focusing on only the work.

How do you intend to use what you learned in this fellowship in your future life?

It is important to have some balance in the work and some fun and relax time in life. I realized it when I joined the Amal fellowship program. It maintains the work and life balance by enjoying learning with the different activities and creating your own balance by enjoying them.

In the session, I came to know that it’s up to us who makes work boring or entertaining. It’s completely up to us to decide either I want a little laughter around myself or not. Furthermore, the other important thing that I had noticed was if you are facing some emotional issues then spare yourself from work for a while and do something that makes you feel happy from the depth of your heart.

I’ll be using the same strategy in the future to regain my energy whenever I feel down or sad. I will continue this balance in my life by accepting challenges as opportunities and enjoy them with that mindset that it will definitely result in something good, even it was bad then I must learn something from this experience too.

An Awwwwww appreciation for me💓

Hayeeee 💓

The special appreciation by Maam Zeesat is very close to my heart and I always respect her a lot. I have no words to thank you, Ma’am. I have enough words to describe your nature and your reflection. And I am desperately waiting for Ma’am Iqra’s appreciation for me. 🙈

Conclusion

I would like to pay thanks to AMAL for giving us the opportunity to discover ourselves and also to make us able to face any situation with confidence. Especially thanks to BATCH-148 to made my life memorable and joyful.
